Our client has a requirement for a Leading Hand to assist in the day to day operations of a team of delivery drivers. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced multi-drop driver with a HR license to progress their career in the transport industry and work in an office/field capacity.
The role will involve preloading of trucks with a pallet jack and some manual handling, taking responsibility for maintenance of equipment, corresponding with drivers regarding start times, etc..., facilitating HSE activities (toolbox talks, driver safety alerts, etc...), general administration and attending to phone calls as required.
To be considered for the role you will have the following skills and qualifications:
HR Druck license
Multi-drop experience
Computer literate and willing to learn how to use company systems
Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to provide direction, take responsibility and lead a team
