This is well established pipe laying contractor. They have had tremendous success over the past few years which is due to having the right people running their jobs and their company. A straight forward systems and processes sees them concentrating on growth and smooth delivery of their projects.

Due to the increase of the workload they are seeking to appoint a Procurement Officer on 2 months contract.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Obtain quotations for materials, equipment and supplies
• Purchase material, equipment and supplies for field operations
• Raise purchase orders
• Maintain contact with suppliers to ensure accurate pricing information and timely delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate purchasing filing system.
• Arrange freight services
• Liaise with Warehouse Supervisor to ensure that materials are correctly dispatched

In order to be successful for this position you should have following

• Considerable purchasing experience
• Ability to work FIFO
• Be available for an immediate start
• QLD/Gladstone based
• Construction experience
• Knowledge in water construction projects.
