Our client is an innovative food business manufacturing high quality bakery products for Australia. They are seeking an experienced Product Development Technologist to join their team to develop an exciting and innovative range of bakery goods for one of their major retail accounts.
Reporting to the Product Development Manager, key duties include:
- Developing new products through the stage gate process
- Reviewing existing formulations for cost reduction and product improvement projects
- Ensuring new products meet food safety and legislative requirements
- Reporting and updating relevant documentation for all R&D projects which might include labels, ingredient listings, raw materials checklists and recipes
The successful candidate will possess:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in food technology
- Successful track record in product development and strong creative flair
- Strong working knowledge of baking ingredient functionality
- Desire to work in a cross functional team based culture
- Strong "hands-on" product development ability
- Ability to deliver against project deadlines
