We have a 12 month contract assignment for a GIS Analyst with large scale applications experience in the ESRI suite of software to join a global resources giant and industry leader within the oil and gas sector. This Perth CBD centric role will be full-time working 8-hour days Monday to Friday, suiting someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a high attention to detail. Key duties & responsibilities: - Production of cartographic products primarily high quality publication figures requiring meticulous attention to detail.
- Execute relevant work flow processes of acquisition, verification, storage and maintenance of GIS spatial data and associated attribute/metadata.
- Advising and liaising with internal GIS groups to share data and ensure spatial data submissions are consistent with established standards.
- Proactively supporting, and participating in, GIS team functions to provide data and information pertinent to the needs of the group.
- Supporting other GIS Project teams and asset development GIS group where requested.
- Undertake occasional field visits to provide GIS support and training
You will possess: - GIS degree or equivalent education in spatial sciences
- 5+ years GIS experience - application level to large scale infrastructure projects
- ESRI suite of software experience, Python programming
- Windows, UNIX/LINUX, Oracle expertise
- Experience in defining procedural documents and standards
