The duties of a Community Manager:
The  Community Manager is responsible for delivering social media engagement strategy in the Australia, New Zealand and help the Asia Region -through social outreach, community management and active listening. The Community Manager takes the lead on driving engagement across the social media landscape, managing brand sentiment, driving meaningful relationships with customers and stimulating relevant debate and interaction within the community.  Some of our tasks will include: 
  • Respond effectively to any commentary within the community in line with the company's Rules of Engagement
  • Proactively engage community members where appropriate to stimulate interaction, debate and trading/investment discussions
  • Monitor online chats, blogs and forums identifying trends, patterns and issues and responding to users in line with the company's Rules of Engagement.
  • Develop and manage any social media campaigns (in partnership with the relevant internal and external contacts)
  • Support any new product releases to ensure smooth adoption amongst the community
  • Concept, plan and implement social marketing campaigns based on the businesses objectives and insights
  • Monitor, review and optimise social strategies by developing analytics and other tracking measurements
  • Track competitor activity, developments and trends
What you've got now
  • Excellent written communication skills: some experience of writing blogs
  • Some experience/understanding of social media marketing
  • Ability to generate original content
  • Journalistic experience - particularly in writing for a particular target audience
  • Experience with Radian6 or Social Media monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Digg etc)
