AVAYA TELEPHONY ENGINEER Our client, a leading organisation in its field, is currently requiring an experienced Avaya Engineer for a 6 month contract to plan, design, configure, implement and migrate to an Avaya Aura Contact centre unified communications platform. Key responsibilities will include: - Post support of customer migrations or installation relating to the unified communications platform (UCP) and technical lead in the governance covering the build, test and customer migration to it
- Conducting acceptance tests and commissioning communications systems and equipment
- Analysing Voice traffic data and providing recommendations on performance improvements to network infrastructures as appropriate
- Ensure voice network security is maintained as defined by the organisation's Security Policies and perform traffic capacity, management analysis and change and reporting
The ideal candidate will have: - Strong knowledge Avaya Aura Unified communications system containing to the design, configuration, installation and support of the system
- Sound knowledge of Avaya Experience Portal and Avaya's ACC solution
- Strong knowledge VoIP protocols, QoS, Voice CODEC's, Diff Serv and carrier CoS, SIP internetworking concepts and troubleshooting
- Ability to prioritise own workload and resolve problems systematically in highly stressful environments with minimum supervision
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills
Due to the nature of this project availability to perform after-hours work is required as well as the willingness and flexibility for interstate and international travel. Avaya certifications and experience in Avaya systems are essential.
