Our client, a leader in the development Enterprise Content Management software, requires the services of an Applications Specialist to take responsibility for the maintenance, support and upgrade of their Customer Applications.

Permanent position - Salary $110-$130K (inc Super)

The role is responsible for the following:-

• Provision of technical support to customers up to level 3 on the Client's Applications
• Commercial management of the Client's vendors in Australia and the UK
• Take responsible for the management of the application infrastructure including ensuring that backups are undertaken, Disaster Recovery maintained etc.
• Collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure communication is open and stakeholders are aware of ongoing projects/status updates as required.
• Take responsibility for the development of written process documentation and ensure it is in line with best practice methodologies.

To be considered for the role you will require:-

• Tertiary qualifications in IT (University Degree would be highly regarded)
• Technically the right person will have a broad awareness of Internet Technologies, experience with web browsers and Firewall/Proxy security issues.
• Some Linux Administration skills (not essential but preferred)
• Understanding of Network Admninistration (eg DNS load balancing)
• DB Admin - Oracle, SQLServer and MySQL
• Understanding of virtualisation (VMWare or similar)
• Microsoft certifications are not essential but would preferred
• Good business relationships building skills.
• A keenness to take ownership of the Applications in order to increase overall Company buy-in to new structure and to increase awareness of best practice and new models.
• An eagerness to take responsibility and action to improve effectiveness.
• Effective planning skills to enable review of significant projects and to manage change initiatives.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
