Our client has a newly created role for a Senior Engineer with a strong Storage background. This would be an ideal role for someone with 3 to 4 years experience, seeking variety, and the opportunity to move into a pre sales environment. We are seeking someone who has a background in storage and backup technology (SAN, NAS as well as Direct Attach), with ideally direct experience with some or any of the following vendors - EMC, IBM, HP, Sun Storage, Commvault, Acronis, CA, NetApp and Veritas. You will: - Often be the first person someone approaches for assistance with the products they sell and will therefore need excellent customer relation skills.
- Be interacting daily in a busy environment with all staff and should therefore be an adaptable and easy going person who is able to think on their feet.
- Be in a position to provide input into new policy and procedures as they deploy new products and services
Ideally you will have experience with:-
. Architecture, design and planning of storage and backup environments
. Installation, configuration and maintenance of storage and backup environments
. System performance tuning and troubleshooting  |
