Our client, a leading global IT outsourcer and business solutions provider, currently has a need for an experienced Desktop Engineer to work at an executive level. The role will be based onsite in the CBD and you will be working with a major global client of theirs. The position is initially for a period of 3 months but as it is an ongoing role and the likelihood for extensions is good. The responsibilities of the role include; - Provide technical support of PCs (personal computer hardware, peripherals and software) in an onsite capacity so Executives of the various companies
- Install, configure and support personal computers, peripherals and software as required to meet Service Level Agreements
- Perform second and third level problem determination for PCs
- Evaluate and recommend innovative technical solutions to satisfy customer's business requirements
To be successful in this role you will need the following; - Relevant experience and technical understanding
- Exceptional communication, negotiation and customer service skills
- Understanding of technology infrastructure
- Recognised IT industry certification or relevant tertiary qualification in information technology
