Sous Chef - Inner City Restaurant
Location: CBD & Inner Suburbs

Our client is seeking an experienced Sous Chef for a Vegetarian Restaurant in the St Kilda area. The venue has over 200 seats and 50 external and a trendy bar area for that pre dinner drink and chat.

The successful chef will support and learn from this highly experienced Head Chef and have opportunity to influence the menu and recipes, manage the kitchen and develop the team and stream line the service style.

You will need to have the following:

  • Previous experience in a Sous Chef position
  • Skills and competency to manage a busy kitchen
  • Leadership and people management skills
  • Experience with Vegetarian Cuisine a huge advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of the restaurant scene and current food trends
  • The ability to stocktake, order and run the daily kitchen operations effectively
  • Necessary trade qualifications
