Kinetic Defence is the leading supplier of recruitment solutions to the Defence and Aerospace industries. Our client is currently looking for a Project Director with relevant qualifications and good experience in a Shipyard/ Seagoing enviroment to lead an established Project.

This position will see the successful candidate reporting to the GM and responsible for an important project with fast paced dockings and refits. You will need to have good technical skills along with sound Project financial experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide Project Management and Engineering leadership.
• Develop Engineering Solutions.
• Overall co-ordination and management of scheduled dockings, slippings and maintenance tasks.
• Develop Project costs and manage budgets.
• Engage and manage subcontractors and Project suppliers.
• Provide Engineering review and authorisation.
• Ensure contractual requirements are met.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Relevant and recent experience in a Shipyard and/ or Seagoing role.
• Maritime services or Government experience.
• Project Management and Engineering leadership.
• Marine Engineering qualifications.
• Financial analysis, economic appraisal and project feasibility skills.
