Urgent Senior Metallurgist opportunity Available immediate interviews and immediate start. Salary negotiable depending on experience

The role reports directly to the Senior Plant Metallurgist who leads a team that provides technical support to the Operation for evaluating, controlling and improving plant performance. In this role you will be responsible for monitoring and tuning the technical performance of the ore processing circuit on a day to day basis as well as being allocated specific projects for enhancing concentrator performance.

Responsibilities include:
  • Identify, investigate and implement improvement opportunities in collaboration with the Operations team and asset management
  • Evaluate, develop and progress various metallurgical projects aimed at improving plant stability and capability
  • Support and advance critical equipment design, including mill linings, flotation cells, thickeners and sampling systems
  • Consult with Geologists and Mining Engineers on short and medium term mine plans in order to optimise plant performance
  • Daily, weekly and monthly metallurgical balances and reporting
  • Participate in ongoing training and development within the team
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in metallurgical/minerals processing or chemical engineering
  • Minimum 2 years experience within minerals processing operations
  • Strong commitment to Environment, Health & Safety principles
  • Strong focus on process quality and operational control
  • Project management experience and the ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
