My client is one of Australia's leading commercial and residential construction companies, who are embarking on numerous developments across the Sydney's Metropolitan region. With one of the most respected names in the industry, this national builder has delivered successful projects across the residential, commercial and industrial sectors.

My client is currently looking for an experienced OH&S coordinator to join their team. This is a key role for the company as you will play an important role in successful outcome of projects. As a specialist builder / developer there is a very high emphasis on safety, quality environmental factors and compliance.

Reporting to the OH&S Manager you will be responsible for the management of OH&S and Compliance across a $40 million Health projects to ensure the Safety and Environmental Policies and standards are met.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring Safety and Environmental Policies/Standards and procedures are adhered to at all site locations
• Developing and reviewing work method statements
• Implementation of work practices
• Conduct on site audits and inspections
• Develop Safety and Environment training strategies to all personnel
• Preparation and submission of OH&S inspection and records
• Developing inspection and test plans across all sites
• Manage compliance of Quality Manual System
• Managing accident/incident reports and investigations
• Managing 3rd party annual audit of systems
• Carry out company safety inductions

You will have solid experience in OHS&E across the construction industry as well as coming from a trade background to help out on site when required. You must have the following qualifications and skills:

• Trade Qualified
• Tertiary qualified in OHS
• Ideally a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role in the construction industry
• Solid computer skills
• Hold a Safety Auditors Certificate, Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
