Internship Opportunities
Melbourne

Internship is a well established concept in many countries for tertiary students to secure meaningful work experience, and for organisations to gain an early view of new graduate or new post graduate talent. Apart from certain professions, most internships in Australia are marketed overseas and filled by foreign visitors who take their new found knowledge home. Wed rather not see that advantage given to our competitive economies, but to Australia.

So, if you are a final year undergraduate or a postgraduate student and you wish to explore work experience opportunities in different industries and companies, this is a great development opportunity. To benefit the Australian economy this program is only open to students or recent graduates of Australian tertiary institutions; whether Australian citizens, residents or students who live here on student visas and intend to build their careers here.

In Australia, around two out of three foreign students successfully secure permanent residence, and have been adding to our ranks of qualified engineers, accountants, chemists, medical personnel, business graduates and a whole range of other disciplines.

An internship will offer you the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and any subsequent employment may help international students complete the required number of working hours to assist in permanent or working visa applications. Internships are unpaid but transportation costs and per diems will be reimbursed. The aim is that as many internships as possible are converted into paid part time employment. Thats mostly up to you.

Many internships range from four weeks to six months but we run a fixed 20 working day program to ensure you have every opportunity to win paid work quickly. They are available within a large number of industries and areas. This is the perfect opportunity for you to use your studies in a practical working environment, continue learning and make some great contacts along the way.

To confirm your interest in our program, please click the apply button below and we will send additional information outlining the volunteer agreement, all costs and income opportunities associated with an internship. We also offer additional services to enhance your application and prospects, including psychometric testing services at highly discounted rates.
