Our client is a large ASX listed mining and resources business seeking an experienced Financial Controller to drive the business forward in 2012

Job Description

You will report directly into the CFO and will be responsible for the financial accounting team.

Duties will include:

• Preparing the consolidated financial reports for periodic and yearly financial statements
• Continuous development of the financial reports to support the ongoing development of the group
• Preparing financial statements and assisting the external auditors
• Responsible for the preparation of the month end reports
• Ensuring all taxation arrangements are documented in accordance with the tax authority requirements
• Assisting the CFO in improving processes within the finance team

The Successful Applicant

You must be CPA/CA qualified or equivalent and have extensive financial accounting experience working as a financial controller in a medium to large organisation. The successful candidate will have statutory financial reporting experience as well as management reporting and knowledge of international tax issues. You must be highly motivated and have strong process improvement skills with the ability to drive the business forward.
